Thirteen was a dream!
Ha, I got myself another rhyming title!
Ben had a rough week this week. He's being transitioned into the crib and not liking it. He also was left alone with Mama the entire weekend and, oh boy, did he not like that. Leaving his familiar car seat for the wide world of the crib has left him a cranky cuss and he's given up on his 5 hour sleeps in favor of 3 hour ones. We have high hopes that he might change his mind and decide that he likes sleeping after all.
In spite of the crankies he still had plenty of time to drool, get airplane rides, practice holding his head up, and just generally enjoy being a baby.

Ben's 12 Weeks Old Today!
Monday, April 6, 2009
It was fine to be nine...weeks old
Ben saw his first Vernal Equinox during week nine. You can't see it very well in the picture, but the poor guy thinks snow storms like the one we had that day are a normal spring time thing.

He also went to his first Turkish restaurant. Note his facial expression; I believe that he was also disappointed in the quality of the baklava.

Ben did some serious hanging out on the quilt Nana Joan sent him.

The weather was sunny enough for some walks in the park with Mr. Bunny.

And finally, he wrapped up the week with a quality nap.

8 Weeks!
Tomorrow is Ben's 8th week as a native New Yorker. He isn't showing many signs of NYC neurosis, but he certainly can make his opinions known as only a baby or a New Yorker can. On his 7 week birthday he got to meet his cousin, Cas, and we all went to the lake house together. Cas is 5 weeks older than Ben and 5 lbs lighter! She is an adorable little Fraggle -almost as cute as our boy. For his 8th week, Ben got his first subway ride. Luckily the overly enthusiastic souls making their way home from the St. Patty's day parade didn't scare him too much.
