Tomorrow is Ben's 8th week as a native New Yorker. He isn't showing many signs of NYC neurosis, but he certainly can make his opinions known as only a baby or a New Yorker can. On his 7 week birthday he got to meet his cousin, Cas, and we all went to the lake house together. Cas is 5 weeks older than Ben and 5 lbs lighter! She is an adorable little Fraggle -almost as cute as our boy. For his 8th week, Ben got his first subway ride. Luckily the overly enthusiastic souls making their way home from the St. Patty's day parade didn't scare him too much.
Someday we'll want to post something other than pictures of Ben, but right now we're too enraptured by the cuteness to think of anything else worth putting up on the blog.
Ben has been part of our family for four weeks today. And he has turned both his parents into total mush. Even his evil, hard-hearted, Valentine's Day hating father was inspired to celebrate the day in honor of Benedict. He ordered a dark chocolate cake with Frangelico buttercream in honor of our little Valentine. It was delicious. Too bad Ben couldn't actually gum any of it.
Ben's been busy this last week having a growth spurt -- we think. This means that he's been one hungry guy and neither of his parents have been getting all that much sleep. But he's getting heavier and stronger every day. It's only a matter of time before he can lift up his head and roll over.
